Next term on May 5 teachers will be having the paid Union Meeting which was postponed from this term. We have managed to get a meeting that starts later, so children need to be picked up at 2:15pm.

As part of a city wide project on student engagement, we have been asked to gather data to assess the needs in schools as well as trends across the city. St Patrick’s surveys will be posted out next week. Please if you are one of the few we send the survey to, get it back to us before the second term. A reply paid envelope will be included.

The election for parent trustees has started. Nominations are open and close on the 23rd April.

Think seriously about nominating yourself or someone else with the right skills. Nominate leaders now!

  • Wow it is hard to believe that we are at the end of term 1 already. Thank you to all of those parents who have helped out in any way this term. Your contributions to our school are greatly appreciated.
  • It is with sadness that we say good bye to Mrs Anderson and Mr Langford. Mrs Anderson has had a hugely positive impact on many children and their families over a number of years. On behalf of everyone at St Patrick’s we wish her all the best for her move to Oamaru. Thank you also to Mr Langford who has been in Room 11 this term.
  • We also say good bye for now to Mrs Cook. We wish her all the best for the new baby due next term and thank her for the great contribution she has made over the last few years.
  • It was great today to see all of the wonderful Kiwiana food brought for our end of unit celebration lunch. This unit has been a lot of fun and the children have learned a lot about themselves, their families and their culture.
  • We wish everyone a safe and happy Easter and we encourage you all to take some time out to remember the real reason for the Easter celebration, the death and resurrection of Jesus.

God bless from the senior Syndicate.
