Objectives
1) To provide a plan that
provides a suitable safe environment.
2) To provide safe practices
in using school buildings and environment.
Guidelines
1) The plan will include the
following components:
ü
emergency evacuation routines including warning system.
ü
inspection and maintenance of playground equipment.
ü
accident procedures.
ü
safety with machinery being used at school eg lawnmowers.
ü heating.
ü
safety practices within buildings.
ü
furniture and general classroom equipment.
ü
storage of dangerous goods.
2) The property
sub-committee will report to the board on monitoring of the plan and
subsequent developments.

Staff,
both teaching and non teaching were asked if each of the guidelines were
carried out
